The fair FAFGA alpine superior Innsbruck is a trade fair for gastronomy, hotel and design. The biggest international climbing event returns to Austria. The IFSC World Climbing Championship 2018 will be held in Innsbruck under the motto "Innsbruck 2018 - make friends. climb. celebrate ". Already in 1993, the Tyrolean capital hosted the World Cup.

Around 700 athletes from 65 countries will compete for the best titles on the Innsbruck market square in the new climbing center on the Sillufer and in the Olympiaworld. The program includes climbing, bouldering, speed climbing and paraclimbing competitions. For the first time in a climbing World Cup for adults, the Olympic format will be held. The organizers expect 40,000 spectators from home and abroad. The World Cup is to be televised internationally.

A highlight for all spectators is the "Climbers Paradise Village" on the market square. The local program includes in particular offers that should bring interested people closer to climbing. There will be many possibilities for the self-experiment.

From 22 to 30 September 2018, the UCI Road World Championships will be held in Innsbruck-Tirol (Austria).
The best road cyclists in the world will be competing on eight competition days in the disciplines of individual time trial, team time trial and road race.
