Hofkirche Innsbruck
Emperor Maximilian I was an extremely influential person in Tyrol.
During his lifetime he gave the order to build a magnificent grave in the Royal Chapel, which was then built and completed, but was not used by him since he decided on his deathbed to be buried in Wiener Neustadt. Now you can see the Hofkirche, this fascinating Kenopath (empty grave chamber) surrounded by 28 giant bronze statues which were designed by famous artists such as Albrecht Dürer.
Music enthusiasts will appreciate Hofkirche, as it is where one of the fantastic Ebert organs is kept.
