Herbst in Tyrol
The mountains are calling!

Autumn in the Tyrolean mountains has a very special kind of magic. When the forests glow in warm shades of gold, red, and orange, and the crisp mountain air smells of fresh pine and adventure, it’s impossible to resist the call of nature. That’s exactly how we experienced our hikes around Patscherkofel – intense, vibrant, and full of little moments of joy. Whether you walk along the legendary Zirbenweg, where the leaves crunch beneath your feet and the sun peeks through the gnarled branches of ancient stone pines, or make your way up to the summit, the scenery looks like it’s been painted in brilliant autumn colors. A stop at Lanser Alm is a must, where we were surprised with fragrant Nepalese specialties – a touch of faraway lands in the middle of the mountains.
On another weekend, we set out for Muttereralm, where the adventure took on a playful tone. A lovingly designed treasure hunt led us to hidden corners, while the children’s eyes lit up as they reached the little mountain lake. The highlight: a fast-paced mountain cart ride – laughter echoing through the autumn stillness. In between, Götzner Alm treated us to hearty Tyrolean specialties that taste twice as good after a day in the fresh mountain air.
Another unforgettable chapter of our autumn adventures was our trip to Schlick 2000. The new slide trail brought huge smiles to both kids and adults – there’s probably nowhere else you can speed down a mountain with such joy. On the treehouse trail, the day slowed down again: creaking wooden paths under our feet, cheerful children’s laughter at the petting zoo, and the scent of the forest all around – a little paradise in the heart of nature.
These autumn days were more than just excursions. They were memories to carry not only in photos but in our hearts: the crunch of the leaves, the laughter on the trails, the taste of local food, and the peaceful stillness of the mountains. Tirol keeps reminding us how magical autumn can be – when you simply let yourself experience it.

A golden autumn evening — more perfect than we could have imagined. After a relaxed two-hour hike from Götzens up to Götzner Alm, we were welcomed with a sparkling aperitif. The sun slowly dipped behind the mountains, the sky turned a warm red and orange, and the crackling fire pit created the most magical atmosphere.
At the Törggelen, a delicious five-course menu awaited us — hearty, seasonal, and simply divine. Surrounded by friends, we laughed, toasted, and savored every moment, with the mood growing warmer with each course.
The gentle night hike back down to the valley, guided by the moon and the soft glow of our headlamps, was the perfect ending. Full hearts, happy faces, and the feeling of having shared something truly special.
I hope this little glimpse has inspired you — and I can’t wait to welcome some of you here soon!
Yours,
Renea
